Shaun Fitzgerald is a GO for latemodels and trucks. what time are we getting started and are the last chance racers using their own motors or is it handout as well?

all motors are hand out motors used Friday can not be used on Saturday that is the way it was run last year

3 Day Event:
You have to run the Friday night last chance race to get to race on Saturday
If you made it, you stay and race Saturday to run against the top 10
You then stay overnight to attend the banquet on Sunday
Very affordable for all of us in a economy crunch (owners & racers)
The cost factor for Friday night, 3 races, $ 60, Motel $45, Eats & Fuel $50. total about $155.00
The cost factor for Saturday, 3 races, $60, Motel $45, Eats $30. total about $135.00
Sundays cost factor, banquet ??, fuel home 50.00 .. Total Cost to run Nats $340.00
No Parts Included
Could we have not crunched it into a 2 day event, are we running 3 races friday night ?
Is there a cost for the banquet ? I dont see any info posted as to the events for the weekend.
Id like to offer congrats to all the champions this yr and let everyone know it has been a pleasure racing with you, Ive made many new friends , enjoyed the compatition level and wish all you good luck this weekend.

Gunn4u-samething as last year,samething. 3 day event. I will agree with you on cost,thats why I can't make it.My bussines comes first. It has nothing to do with who you pissed off. The board members last year set this up.Last year the year ended at Acworth so that made Tenn. drive. There will be a series naxt year .

Here we go again! Blame every thing on last years board. If THIS years board wanted to change the format of the Nats weekend, they could have. What ever has happened this year is on this years board. I'm tired of hearing some try to blame every thing on Ken and Roger. Both of them were smart to just wash their hands of this mess and walk away. I have serious doubts that this series will be here next year, I'm beginning to wonder if slot car racing will be around here next year.

The cost of racing cant adjust with the economy. It is what it is.
Explain how it could have been cheaper with in the rules.
If it was at your place, would the cost have changed any?
I know racing is not cheap but, I dont see where the complaint is.
Last year when I went to the USRA Div 1 nats I spent well over $1000. $340 is peanuts to race for a championship. Times might be tough, but you cant blame your fellow racers. The cost is not their fault. The race fees are not high by any means. The other costs are not control able by any of us.
I am sorry you cant go, I could not either. I had planned on it, but it just did not work out

John I am not blaming anyone so don't go there, and I am tired of hearing you and others saying we are blaming Ken and Rogers. I said the BOARD-THE BOARD, there are still some board members still there from last year. And it worked last year and that is why it did not get changed. I was letting him know since he was not around last year.Slot car racing will be around cause people are racing were they want to and were they have fun.And I know several people who keep yelling for support and to give support but they sure as hell don't. I have a good time racing and there are more series than these to race in that are more stable. I like you and don't have a problem with you but d**n let it go. I understand why you don't race and believe me I do pray for your mom and hope everything gets better.
This is just my view so don't take it personal just like you state your view.
And by the way I feel it is going to be hard for either series to be successfull. Just my thought.

Russell I'm not busting on you, I think of you as a friend first and foremost. It's just all season long it's seemed that when something didn't go well it was blamed on last years board. Your right, some of last years board is still on this years board. But when there's criticism it seems like it's Ken who is at the center of the target. I know you didn't say Ken, but he has been at the center of things and doesn't deserve it. Like I said, what ever has happened this year, be it good or bad, is on this years board. I'll let it go when everyone else does. I've stayed pretty quite here but enough is enough. I agree with you, it's going to be hard for either series next year given all the hard feelings and animosity that has formed this year. It would be great if everyone could just go race with each other and have fun once again. It would be great if both series helped feed racers to each other, but I won't hold my breath.
