Championship night!!
The results are in!!
Points Champion: Mick Holtsclaw
Rookie of the Year: Marty Hillman
Mick Holtsclaw takes third in the final race to clinch our first points championship!
Holtsclaw had 3 wins this season and holds the record for most points scored in one race at 85.
Marty Hillman holds off a hard charging Jeff Brobeck to take the Rookie of the Year title. Hillman outscored Brobeck by 30 points in Nov., but Brobeck scored 1 win and 15 more points in Dec. leaving only a 15 point margin between the two.
Honorable mentions:
Andy McClellan scored more points than anyone in Dec, but missed Nov races. McClellan still finished 7th in points. Andy also holds the track record for fast lap of the race.
"Mr. Smooth" Rick Edens ran very consistent all season, scoring one win, and was always close to the top in the finishing order. Edens took second in the final standings.
74 year old, Fred Heffinger ran strong all season, scoring one win and several top 3 finishes. Had some bad luck in December, but still took 3rd in points.
Jeff Brobeck came up just short in his bid for Rookie of the year, but was by far one of the most improved drivers this season. Brobeck struggled early, but finished the season strong. He scored one win, and also held the track lap record for a few weeks.
Chris Lowery missed most of the season, but finished very strong, scoring two wins, and holds the track qualifying record. With this weeks win, Lowery moved into the top 10 in points.
John Patterson also struggled early in the season, but improved tremendously in December. Patterson will be a contender in the next

I am not getting to the track as often as I would like, but hope that will change in the future. In the meantime, I am trying to get some cars ready .Can someone give me some idea about the best gear combinations for the various cars, for example, what works best on the ETMR track with the 4" FCR , then the 4.5", FCR chassis when running the Deathstar, motor then ths same chassis(s) with the Falcon engine. Also an idea of the ratios that run best with the Flexi chassis(s)? A Happy new year to everyone, and thanks to Roger Holzclaw for his considerable efforts to bring racinc to our area. Thanks, Greg Hanthingy

Mick: Thanks for the info. Every little bit helps when one is as lost as I am. You are a gentleman and a scholar...not like Roger at all!
